Hello Robin,
it looks like you are used to get computer virus! (cf the endnotes of "The Liveship Traders"). Maybe you should try an anti-virus software, unless it is a convenient reason to go past your deadline :p

Thanks a lot for the photos, Robin and everyone. You really seem to have had a wonderful time. 
Unfortunately, I couldn't come although I had planned it, how I regret this now seeing all the wonderful pictures! And that Machines museum looks so interesting ! ah but, it couldn't be helped.  Another time, another time. Is the 'machines' museum a permanent one? Anybody knows?
And I didn't know you were having a livejournal now, could you please (re)post the link, because I can't seem to find that anywhere, or did you meant something else perhaps?
I'm looking forward for your next book and anthology, Robin.

I thought I would drop in and offer a quick update on the writing progress for Dragon Keeper.
I turned in the manuscript not only late but twice as long as it was supposed to be.
Due solely to the dedication and good will of my editors, neither one of them disowned me! However, Dragon Keeper will have to be split into two volumes in the US and the UK for publication. I regret that, as I had told readers it would be a single volume stand alone book. My only excuse is that the story got away from me.
Publication of volume one should follow the original schedule, that is, July 2009 in the UK, and January of 2010 in the US. The second volume will follow in less than a year.
If you have written to me recently and not heard back, it means one of two things:
Your letter might have been lost in my battle with a computer virus a few months ago. It ate a lot of my email and my address book.
Or, your letter arrived just as I sank in the rewrites. I'm doing my best to get this book rewritten and ready to publish as quickly as I can, so I'm not answering much email lately.

Bon jour!
Just a quick note to let you all know that we've created a book trailer for The Dragon Keeper.

Sabotage and Dialogue is the production company that covered the technical end of everything.
I had specific images in my mind. Cast of Thousands helped me try to create those. And I had production ideas for the video, and S&D worked very hard to try to help me realize them. That is an unusual way for a production company to work, so I am very grateful.
The video with the voice-over incorporates a lot of my ideas. And the second one is a much smoother version solely by the production company.
This was my first attempt to make an image of what I see in my mind. I hope you will enjoy it.
